Haki Zetu: Land and Human Rights

As land conflicts, "land grabbing" and women's limited access to land are major problems in Africa, which relate to quite a number of economic, social and cultural rights, the Human Rights Capacity-Building Programme (HURICAP) developed this handbook in its Haki Zetu series, to help mostly African local organizations deal with land issues in a human rights perspective.

The booklet provides information about the relationship between land and human rights, and provides guidance about defending these rights, monitoring land policies and violations, advocating, campaigning and seeking redress for violations related to land.

This toolkit has been copublished by FIAN International and Amnesty International.
